Have you received a letter or email from Swinburne University that states:
“IMPORTANT IMFORMATION: You are required to Show Cause for unsatisfactory progress”
If you did, you will need to see an Academic Advisor as soon as possible.
Students who do not respond to their Show Cause request may be excluded from the university.
We can assist you in writing a "show cause" letter.
Call 9214 5445 or email h_academic@swin.edu.au to make an appointment.
SSAA Student Academic Advisors provide students with independent and impartial advice.
E-Advocacy
If you would like your letter checked before you submit it, but can’t make it to your campus, send it to our e-advocacy service at h_academic@swin.edu.au
Workshops
SSAA is also running workshops to assist students that need to provide “show cause”.
The workshop will;
· Help you understand the progress review process.
· Provide guidelines on how to write your “show cause” letter and make your submission.
Student Academic Advisors from SSAA will be present on the day to answer any questions that you may have.
A counsellor from Swinburne Counselling will also be available on the day to answer questions which you have and how they may assist you in providing evidence for “show cause”.
